Bottomline
You sad individual, your age shows your ignorance! Your words show how little you know of the subject and discriminatory remarks only confirm your blinkered view of life ....your opinion reflects poorly on the good work WollongongOnline is doing for business in our region.
Mrs Kylie Ramstadius Topline
I do like Google and even for nsw and australian things find it superior to msn when looking for things. I also have a spare Google email for an organisation to which I belong and it can be located under my bigpond one when I need it.
... and I do like Wikipedia.

Berkeley Longwall mining
Like having icebergs in the Sahara Desert, longwall mining under water catchment areas, is not a great idea.
Did you know that you can’t get insurance for building cracks in Helensburgh because of the mines underneath?
The clearly mounting evidence of the effects of longwall mining cannot be ignored. Watch kids dig a hole into sand on the banks of the beach or river edge. What happens above when that little hand dug tunnel collapses? Same thing with disturbing under the earth, no matter how you prop it up.
Water will always find the weakest spot to run to. A simple change in course. Not necessarily into a mine. Just elsewhere.
At the end of the day, on a simple scale, coal may keep you warm, but water keeps you alive. Which would you choose as the more precious?
Alan Bond The Blue Mile
How can Mayor Darling have dismay at treatment calling Wollongong the forgotten city over the so called $48m Blue Mile if he hasn’t approached the State and Federal Governments over funding. This is just another absurd statement from the Mayor. Does he actually think Wollongong is the most important thing to them? This comment just gets added to the astounding ones on record from the Mayor.
It would appear that businesses want this Blue Mile, but apparently don’t want to put money in, only take it out.
The comment by the Chairman of the Illawarra Chapter of the Australian Property Council (remember them and the free rent?), astoundingly said great cities have something iconic and if you are going to have something iconic in Wollongong you couldn’t find a better place to put it. Well, I could and place it to the west and call it the Illawarra Escarpment! That’s like saying the Giza Pyramids need a lemonade stand to attract tourists.
However if our learned leaders are prepared to bend over backwards looking for a place to put it, I am sure it wouldn’t be too hard to find.
Alan Bond F6 extension
Greens MP Lea Rhiannon’s call for the F6 extension not to happen is totally out of context to reality. She is the one who is plainly out of step.
She prefers cattle car public transport. However if she was genuine why is she not calling for the South Coast Rail line to be extended pass Bomaderry and to the Victorian border? The silence is deafening.
Why is she not leading the Greens to find an eco-friendly fuel alternative? Don’t complain. Come up with something if you really want to save the planet.
Wouldn’t it better for vehicles to travel the F6 extension than to idle at traffic lights, stop starting all the time. How much emissions would be prevented from going to the atmosphere then?
But in the end people who live in out of the way areas along the south coast to Nowra need their vehicle. Emergencies, grocery shopping, working including shift work. But this happens anywhere.
The F6 extension will be built, and future generations will thank us.
Alan Bond Interest Rates
Talk about sneaky or should that be snakey? St George had already raised their rates by Thursday 7, a whopping 0.5%. They'll say it only went up the 0.25% but don't forget their own little benefit they rewarded themselves with when they put it up unofficially. They used to send you a letter explaining how sorry they were about putting up the rate. That doesn't happen anymore. You discover it when you look at your account.
I'm definitely in the wrong business. I should be a profiteer. They use to be known as pirates or blackmailers, even a firing squad, with one thing in common, you weren't given a choice.
Where's Julie Anthony and the Happy Dragon? A dragon that's now developed a split personality because this is one Dragon that now eats you, your money, your house, your car, your groceries, your everything, aided by its insidious virus offsider, the GST (Got Suckers Today)!
