NSW to play Perth in Claxton Shield on Sunday 14 December in Wollongong

Following the first series of games over the past week in baseball’s interstate Claxton Shield tournament Victoria now sits in a tie for first place with the Barbagallo Perth HEAT.  Both teams have 3-1 records after the opening rounds.

NSW stand one game back, on equal terms with the Queensland Rams at 2-2, while a young South Australian outfit are three games adrift after a tough week saw them return to Adelaide winless.

Next week the Claxton Shield goes on the road with four separate cities hosting fixtures.

Perth will take on NSW in a three game set in Canberra (Friday, Saturday) and Wollongong (Sunday); while the Aces and Queensland will lock horns in Melbourne and Mildura over the same three days.

The NSW versus Perth game in Wollongong will take place from 1pm on Sunday December 14 at Fred Finch ground Berkeley.
