I thought the LEP 2009 was for all Illawarra ratepayers
So Graeme Jackson is still around and now carrying on about social injustice over the Draft Wollongong LEP 2009.
I thought the LEP 2009 was for all Illawarra ratepayers, not for any one person exclusively.
Mr Jackson has only one thing in mind. That is to open up land for development in his area around the Illawarra Escarpment.
It would appear that Mr Jackson is not getting his way. Gee, ain’t that too bad.
Mr Jackson is also a keen supporter of the 7d Hacking River Catchment landowners, or more specifically those that are land speculators around Helensburgh. They want to profit from the land that they bought as a gamble from a slick seller who apparently made promises that the land would be rezoned one day.
Well, it is, to E2 – Environmental Conservation. It toughens up what they can do, which is basically nothing. Some were also really smart and bought rates default land. I guess the old saying holds true, one sucker gets born every minute.
Mr Jackson has tried to foster his views on me over the years sending me unsolicited stuff through the mails, even ringing me up.
He got himself on the community committee for the Illawarra Escarpment Management Plan and makes you wonder why since the LEP 2009 clearly shows better than before protection for our number one natural asset.
However I do know that a lot people wonder just exactly how many people are members of the West Dapto Rural Ratepayers Association as only Mr Jackson’s name ever appears.
