Candidates for the big job

If the list of who the Mercury would like to see run for Mayor of the Gong is the best the they could come up with, then give me the administrators any time.

People from the business community?

You’ve got to be joking.

Three people stand out for Lord mayor. David Martin Gordon Bradbury. Brett Rodwell. All bring different dimensions to the table, all Independent all respected all very decent people. All have different backgrounds the one burning similarity is that they have community with a Capital C on their forehead. David is very experienced with no negative garbage, Gordon Bradbury is a person who knows what the average person and the ordinary person is feeling, a smart thinker calls a spade a spade. Brett Rodwell small business man knows what is what, very good thinker, dynamic personality and young. All are standouts, the media had names that are tied up and have agendas in some cases. Anyway 3.5 years with alot of water to go under the bridge.

Dave Martin has been asked and has expressed no interest. Like most people have Never heard of the other two that Mr Mott mentions. The majority of people in the Illawarra do not care, except for those few out of 200,000 who are vocal. Why doesn't Mr Mott run and put his money where his mouth is.
