Basic Bookkeeping Workshop   

It is very important for any small business owner to know how to keep sound financial records but more importantly understand how to use those financial reports to make informed decisions. 

This workshop will provide an overview of record keeping responsibilities and provides practical exercises in the tasks required to manage a business through record keeping. You will develop an understanding of financial control and the importance of cash flow and how to complete petty cash, cash payments, cash receipts, daily bank balances and bank reconciliations.

Mr Jones co-founded ThreatMetrix in 2005. ThreatMetrix is now a leader in eCommerce fraud protection using next generation Device Intelligence. The three main fraud protection solutions focus on new account creation, account takeover, and online purchases.

Mr Jones has more than 15 years’ experience in technical and management roles within the software industry and prior to co-founding ThreatMetrix, he founded SpamMATTERS delivering products used by Federal Government agencies for tracking Phishing and Spamming operations.

He holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney.

It is a full day package presented by David Turner from Austrade as part of an Australia-wide program to update exporters on the use of electronic selling when exporting, including website development.
