Four key note speakers included Denise Eaton of Austrade, Steve Sanders of AusIndustry, Rory McAlester of DSRD and Tony Green DSRD. Relevant information was imparted to all i3net members and guests regarding the services the above departments are able to offer to businesses in developing their business as well as markets. They all welcomed businesses to contact them. If the business was not sure which department could best help, any one of them could re-direct businesses to the best option.
Also newest member, Peter Garrard of Essys (Engineering and Scientific Systems Pty Limited) addressed the group outlining his companies’ capabilities and services; consulting, system development, research and development and technical data capture. Essys are new to the Illawarra however, their head office is in Belconnen and they have been operating successful for over 15 years dealing in both the public and private sectors.
This event provided an excellent opportunity to network with other likeminded employers, share information and collaborate on projects.
The i3net was formed several years ago in response to a need to promote awareness of the high-technology innovation base within the Illawarra. The Network is focused on increasing business opportunity for Illawarra industry.
