Worst Practice!

It’s funny how many times we get told how to live a great life and what to do if we want to be successful

Well, today I thought I’d take a different approach to our theory of ‘best practice’. Sometimes things hit us harder from different angles and if we’re constantly bombarded with what we should do and it hasn’t worked, perhaps we need to try something new!

If you were to completely mess up your life, have no friends, no money, no happiness, terrible health and generally a crappy life, what would you need to do? (Alternatively if you want a wonderful life with amazing friends, financial abundance and wonderful health you could do the opposite… )

Here is my top ten list of ‘Things that you can do if you want to screw up your life’ :

1) Always make the excuse that you don’t have enough time or money, either excuse will do. At the end of the day these two excuses can cover for any advances or enjoyment that you may have had in your life if you simply gave it a go. So always make excuses and never take ownership of improving your own life.

2) Never think about what you do want in your life. If you constantly focus on the things in your life that you don’t want you’ll be sure to attract them. The more you focus on the negatives the more they will appear in your life. If it’s poverty and sickness you want then start thinking about them more, talk to everyone about them and be sure to go to places where poverty and sickness are all around you.

3) Blame other people. When trying to improve your life it’s obviously not your fault when things don’t pan out. Quit accepting responsibility for your own life, it will only lead to success and prosperity, just push all the blame onto someone else. (It really doesn’t matter who!)

4) Make sure you don’t exercise at all! Exercise is for people to get fit and enjoy their lives, that’s the last thing you want!

5) Never take time out for you! If you want to be stressed and constantly feel tired and exhausted make sure you run around doing things for everyone else without a though for yourself. Never set boundaries around your time and be sure to never ever block time out for yourself just to relax and unwind.
6) Don’t read or try to increase your knowledge. Books are useless and are simply a waste of your time! Watch more reality TV shows they are packed with wonderful, quality information and they generally are a great use of your time. In fact, stop learning all together. You know everything you need to know already.

7) Only eat foods that are highly processed and high in fat and sugar. They are sure to make your digestive system slow to a point of breaking and make you feel horrible inside and out. If you really want to enhance your disease be sure to drink only alcohol or soft drink. In large quantities they are particularly bad for your health.

8) Spend all your time indoors, disconnected from nature and the people around you. It’s best if you live in a big city and tend to work 12 – 14 hour days, then you can really feel like your life is a waste of time. The more time you spend in nature or with great friends the happier you are likely to become - we wouldn’t want that now would we! Also make sure that you buy anything new just because it’s new. This ensures that you need to work harder for things you don’t want to impress people you don’t like. What a terrible cycle… Perfect!

9) Say what you think! You’re always right and you should say everything that comes to your mind. In fact, all of your thoughts and feelings are always right so just follow what they say and give no regard to how other people think or may view the situation differently. This is a sure fire way to eliminate any relationships that may have been heading in a positive direction!

10) This is a big one, make sure that you are never grateful for anything in your life, ever! Gratitude will put an end to all misery, despair, depression and unhappiness so be sure to be ungrateful for everything you have. Particularly make sure that you’re not grateful for the people around you, the great job you have, the food in your pantry, for living in such a beautiful country, for a stable economy and government, for your health, for books to read or for the freedom we have in every single moment to make choices for ourselves. Don’t be grateful for any of those things; just learn to take them for granted. Gratitude will very quickly make you feel happy, content, loved and lucky so it’s best that if you want to be unhappy you remain ungrateful for everything you have.

So now you know how to be perfectly unhappy. It’s pretty easy isn’t it! Of course if you want to flip it and have an amazing life you could simply do the opposite, but I’ll leave that one up to you!
