The Internship Programme aims to expose commerce students to real life business challenges and operations through participating in organised and independent learning activities. It has been developed as an exciting new initiative, whereby Commerce students can apply what they are learning at university in a professional environment.
Programme Structure
? This programme is offered to students from all commerce disciplines in the University of Wollongong.
? It is a competitive application process from which students apply for available positions with pre-selected organisations.
? Successful students will work in the organisation for 16 days during session, ideally this internship will consist of 2 days per week over a 8 week period.
? A learning scholarship of $1,600 is offered to students by the host organisation or sponsored by an external organisation for selected community placements.

? Exposure to high quality students resulting in the opportunity to further engage the best students in their field available on the market.
? Recognition and promotion of the organisation within the university as one which endorses social responsibility through student learning and development.

The programme includes University of Wollongong’s Education Centres on the South Coast, Highlands and South Sydney, providing opportunities for regional connection between the Faculty of Commerce students and employers in regional towns.
