New SMARTPAGES website

The SMARTPAGES local online directories operating in Parramatta, Sutherland Shire and Wollongong YOC communities has been re-launched.

The most noticeable feature for most regulars will be the improved user interface and complete change in appearance with a brand new logo and the now dated yellow look being replaced with a cleaner fresher green.

Google Maps are also an extra on all Category Openers and Sponsored Listings – see More. 

Perhaps the most important new feature is the SMARTSEARCH tool. 

Now you can simply enter the first four letters of your chosen category or business name and you will be directly connected to the listing – see link>>>>>>>>>> advanced.

A co-ordinated outdoor campaign using buses in all three communities is also being undertaken which combined with some proprietary SEO technology should see SMARTPAGES start to make serious inroads into the increasingly popular local search sector.

With the global financial crisis finally starting to bite at the local level most industry observers are now forecasting a major switch of advertising to online media from the traditional TV, newspapers and print directories – primarily because it is significantly cheaper but also because it is much more targeted.
