Think for a moment what went into constructing the Great Wall of China. It was originally designed to keep out the invading Mongols, however it proved over time completely and utterly ineffective.
Imagine the resources that would have been poured into drawing up the plans, the labor and materials required, the strategy, the action plans and logistics of bringing it all together!
Amazing visions for the future are what have created some of the wonders in our world today.
Now let’s talk about you (couldn’t see that coming could you!)
What is it you are aiming for beyond your lifetime? Each of us have a plan (some more ambitious and dramatic) and others more subtle and simplistic.
What is your vision both for your own life and for the rest of time to come?
Will you leave a legacy of some sort behind for others to follow, or will your grave go unvisited past the next two generations?
Lay down a challenge for yourself to begin something now. What is it you’re passionate about, what do you often complain about, yet feel you can do little? Now is the time to start it, don’t wait another moment, today’s the day to begin changing the world for the better.
Someone who is truly changing the world is Gemma Sisia. Gemma grew up in outback Australia and felt she needed to go to Africa to help out in their fight against poverty. In following her passion she has found her purpose in life and is now running a School she personally founded in 2000.
The School of St Jude’s educates and feeds over 800 children on a daily basis. Gemma has created a legacy! When she is gone, the school will continue, the students will take their education and help to grow their community. They will allow other poor children the same experiences and support both the school system and the economy in turn.
Gemma has truly changed the world for the better! Day by Day, week by week, and year by year the world is becoming a better place for Gemma’s existence!
What is it that excites and motivates you?
What really get’s you fired up?
Gemma started with only $5 in the bank and a great idea, so there are no excuses!
