Your Lifestyle
by Jodie Cooper

The A-Z of Improving your Life

A – Ambition. Determine what you want and why it’s important!
B – Begin it now. Either do it or don’t. If you choose to start, take some action!
C – Confidence / Commitment. Know you will follow through and see it happen!
D – Decisions. Be firm, stick to your decisions and remember it was the best decision at the time given the information available!
E – Engage others to be on your team. The more people pulling in the right direction the more momentum you can create!
F – Friendship/ Faith. There will always be challenges. These will always be two of your best resources!
G – Goals. Without goals how do you know what you have achieved?
H – Happiness is available now. You are in charge of your emotions. Make happiness appear by thinking of a fond memory or recent success!
I – Ignore negativity. Others may not see your point of view, let them be, choose to carry on in a positive frame of mind!
J – Just do it. I think this speaks for itself!
K – Karma. When things don’t go your way, a belief in karma can often make you feel much better inside. Trust it will all even itself out in the end.
L – Love/ Life purpose/ Learning. The three Ls. If we are constantly learning, have a great supply of love in our lives and are learning continuously, there will be much improvement naturally!
M – Meditation / Mentors. Take some time out for you. If you don’t’ like meditation, find something to rest your mind. Sudoku, a walk along the beach. Mentors are amazing support people. Ensure you have at least two – three life mentors!
N – Nutrition. Would you put sand in your car and expect it to run as normal? Your body is your temple, and it’s the only one we have. Your eating patterns also symbolise how much self respect you have to nourish and energise your life!
O – Optimism. It’s this simple, Optimistic people live longer!
P – Patience. Unfortunately not all of us are blessed with the character trait of patience. For some we need to work on it. Take three deep breaths, and mentally step back and look at the big picture.
Q – Question everything. We often take the advice of ‘professionals’ as law. When someone makes a suggestion on how you can improve, question ‘will that really work for me’?
R – Responsibility. In life, the only way to make any positive changes is to accept responsibility for where we are. Until that happens we have given our power to change to everyone else!
S – Strength of character. Be true to you. Understand what you are great at and keep improving on those points. We all have some amazing traits!
T – Trust. Believe that what you are working towards will happen. You will be amazed how the universe responds to those with unlimited trust!
U – Understanding. Actions and behaviours of others are always only the tip of an
iceberg. What lies underneath are past experiences, beliefs and challenges that we may never see. Bring understanding and empathy to each challenge you meet!
V – Vision. Keep a picture in your mind of what you are working towards. Perhaps it’s a holiday in Hawaii, or a new house by the beach. Keep that vision close so when times get tough it can help you through!
W – Work smarter. Create systems that maximise your efficiency and minimise time working!
X – Xamine. Look at what’s working in your life and what needs more work. Keep readjusting to ensure you’re on track!
Y – You. You are your only key to success. Do you think Richard Branson sat back and waited for someone else to bring him success on a platter? Go out and create what you want!
Z – Zzzzzz. Make sure you are sleeping well, it assists your immune system to keep you healthy and allows your unconscious mind time to sift through your day’s activities. Let’s face it, a warm bed is a wonderful place to be in winter!
