You know, the ones who have fine tuned the audio and have worked to ensure that when the curtain rises both the performers and the audience are at ease.
Sean Keaveny and his Wollongong–based company Scene Change,
are the in-house contract company for technical services for the WIN Entertainment Centre. They are proud of their continuing efforts to give their clients the impact they want within whatever the set budget might be.
“We make a lot of effort to understand our customers’ message and just what they want to provide for the audience, and along the way we will offer innovative ways to get the right outcomes,” Sean says.
Sean has worked professionally in the technical events industry for 13 years and believes it was a natural progression from his early interest in electronics and music performance which led him to his ultimate goal of establishing Scene Change Wollongong.

“Throughout my career I have been blessed with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of events. I have provided production services for politicians, academics, sporting stars right through to corporate leaders to rock stars,” he says.
Scene Change Wollongong was originally born out of the frustration of high end production equipment not being accessible through a Wollongong based supplier.
“Our equipment inventory is a first for Wollongong “Sean says. “We have invested heavily in the best audio, projection and moving light technologies available.”
Scene Change commenced business in June 2007. Prior to this Sean held the roles of technical director for the WIN Entertainment Centre, technical event manager for the Brisbane Hilton and Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas hotels, and has also worked in the Sydney events market.
In June 2007 Scene Change was awarded the in-house contract as supplier for technical production for the WIN Entertainment Centre.
“Being able to offer Scene Change’s service gives us the highest level of equipment quality and also the local responsiveness and autonomy that our clients need,” said WEC General manager Stuart Barnes.

Over the past six months Scene Change has supplied technical service for:
Journey of the Cross Concert 2008
Women’s Expo 2008
Macquarie Bank Awards 2008
Flood Plains National Conference Gala Dinner 2008
International Korean Youth Forum 2008

The Scene Change team are also experts in the supply of video conference technology and have been involved in beaming into South Africa, England, Dubai, Asia and the USA. Video conferencing is becoming very popular with mining companies who need to screen into remote areas, and the legal profession too is now making the most of this technology.
Sean says Scene Change focus on delivering an outstanding level of technical and staging support, rather than offering such specialist services as theming, décor, creative production, weddings and the like.
When he’s not working behind the scenes to ensure the “show goes on” Sean likes to dabble with renovating and playing music.
