Seeing Stars
by Patricia Shepherd

Seeing Stars for the week beginning May 12, 2008

THE ASTROLOGICAL ELEMENTS (Continued)

TAURUS

Your opinions and views fall on fertile ground so seize the opportunity to show your determination and personal initiative to put forward these ideas that makes you stand out from the crowd.

GEMINI

Mercury (communication) and Chiron’s (the wounded healer) relationship over the next few weeks enables you to get to the heart of a matter and even though the issues may be contentious your clarity helps the situation.

CANCER

Much energy and enthusiasm mid week but this is not necessarily appreciated by others so tone it down a bit, there is really no need to try and prove yourself. It may see you taking on tasks that others have avoided.

LEO

Before putting those grandiose plans into action have a wee chat to someone in the know because they may be a bit impractical. Although it may cloud your enthusiasm the insight will be beneficial.

VIRGO

Saturn planet of ambition, limitations finally took the brakes off last week but at least it gave you time to define those personal goals that are important to you. You’ve reorganised your priorities, delay no longer.

LIBRA

Your popularity seems to be enhanced this week and you find enjoyment mixing with a diverse group of people. Don’t allow vanity or pleasure seeking activities see you taking unnecessary risks. This includes gambling.

SCORPIO

Mars (energy, drive) your co-ruler has entered your 10th house of career/your standing in the community, where he will spend the next 8 weeks. This happens once every 2 years - utilise this time well.

SAGITTARIUS

Jupiter (expansion) now has turned on his heels and begun his 4  month retrograde motion which puts you in a much more reflective mood. No longer concerned with material comforts your thoughts turn within seeking a greater understanding.

CAPRICORN

For those people who regularly travel overseas for business this sees the end of those frustrating delays. Legal settlements that have suffered postponements should now start to progress.

AQUARIUS

Divorce or property settlements, insurance and legacies that have been experiencing delays for the past 4 months or so should start to advance towards a final completion. Prepare yourself.

PISCES

You may find your energy levels are down this week as Neptune your ruler challenges the Sun. Put off any strenuous activity if you can until next week as even the normal demands of daily activity wears you out.

ARIES

For those Aries that are enjoying the single life it is time to go hunting. Mars has entered the 5th house of romance/creativity and for those already in a relationship pretend you’ve just met when unbridled passion reigned.

THE ASTROLOGICAL ELEMENTS (Continued)

The Elements deal with the tendencies of the temperament and as already mentioned previously is broken into four categories. This week

FIRE: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

The quest for fire is a theme that permeates the world’s mythologies. It was Prometheus’ theft of fire that was responsible for separating the mortals from the gods.

All are yang signs indicating a need for stimulation from the environment and outer world of people and things. Generally energised by other people and external experiences so likes to unwind by going to the gym or meeting with friends.

Fire’s focus is on the horizon and path ahead, seeking its expression in the future, motivated by ideal, a vision or an outcome projected into the future. A fiery temperament is restless and continuously searches for stimulation being drawn to what is novel, exciting and promising.

Astrological Fire corresponds to the intuitive type from Jung’s temperaments, which sees them good at creating designs and dealing with possibilities. They look at patterns and relationships, trusting theory more than experience.

Fire’s gifts are its faith, sense of humour and ability to see the wider horizons of life. It constantly asks questions about the nature of life and its inquisitiveness leads them down the path of self-discovery. The shadow side is uncertainty, insensitivity and depression.
