Seeing Stars
by Patricia Shepherd

For the week beginning 13 July

Sun in Capricorn

CANCER

Sun/Mercury alignment in your sign bodes well for any communication issues that may arise. Just realise though that you may be thinking with your heart and not your head so feelings are strong.

LEO

Talk with someone this week who could well open your mind to an endless supply of possibilities. Don’t try to rationalise your thoughts just yet just go with the flow and think positive.

VIRGO

It is hard to be objective this week particularly as circumstances seem to conspire against you. Compromising seems to be out of the question but you may like to look at revising procedure.

LIBRA

Try not to get carried away by plans for the future, as you will find yourself constantly changing your mind. What you want today will be different from tomorrow so perhaps look at a range of options.

SCORPIO

The aspect between Mars and Pluto indicates you may need to make some trade offs during the next few days. It is not reasonable to expect to know everything and if you do it could drive them away.

SAGITTARIUS

Rationality has nothing to do with what you are experiencing just now and one could almost say you have been taken over by compulsive needs. Don’t ignore but explore your inner self.

CAPRICORN

You should not try and go it alone but rather seek out the opinion of someone close to you who will have a totally different perspective on things than you will. This forces you to examine your needs.

AQUARIUS

I hope you haven’t been burying your head in the sand for although you are progressive you are still a fixed sign and as such some changes are just so hard to make particularly if you have a set or hidden agenda.

PISCES

There seems to be a lot of emotional involvement with children at the moment and if you listen to your intuition you are able to solve any problems that might arise or detect them before they arise.

ARIES

Diplomacy is certainly not one of your many talents and you may be finding it difficult to cooperate with a superior. Bite your tongue and try to avoid power plays at all costs as it will be you that suffers.

TAURUS

If you are used to practical thinking and a clear mind things may be out of kilter this week. It is not as though a fog has descended just that you may become a little absent minded as your thoughts are on other things.

GEMINI

You are not thinking clearly at the moment so any informed decision should be delayed if possible. It is not you against the world so pull your head in, as it is likely a misunderstanding is taking place.

SUN IN CAPRICORN

Astrology is founded on the zodiac, which is a symbolisation of the cycle of the year and the human experience of change.

The twelve signs or phases represent a dynamic process of human change following the climatic or cardinal points of the equinoxes and the solstices.

Capricorn represents one of these solstice points where out of the Sagittarian vision born of communal thinking emerges the completed social organism or state.

Here we see Man thriving on diplomatic intrigues and political schemes. Whereas in Cancer, the sign of the home and the polar opposite or other solstice point, the sense of personality is set - in Capricorn the social sense is set and steady with ideal forms made concrete and tangible. Civilisation which has its roots in Scorpio, develops through Sagittarius, is formalised in Capricorn.

From the tribe to the vast empire, the world stage, organised society at large. Individual man has assumed a profession and a particular social function but no professional achievement is stable because society is not a static entity. Out of the forever changing flux of social relationships and social opportunities, new generations challenge the established order.

Civilisation must forever destroy itself while increasing its scope and powers so its noblest children will be the very ones that bring destruction and dissatisfaction to the status quo. These are the ones that no achievement can ever satisfy instead wanting to reform. Hence the dawning of Aquarius.
