Seeing Stars

Seeing Stars 16 November 2010

FULL MOON at 29 TAURUS 18 on 22 November at 4:27am

SCORPIO
Pluto, your ruler and he of all things subterranean, aligns with the North Node or as the traditionalists call it ‘the Dragon’s Head’ until well into December. This can be a good time to explore those educational opportunities that will help your advancement throughout life. Taking steps toward future improvement can only enhance and increase your self-esteem.

SAGITTARIUS
Jupiter goes direct after almost four months of retrograde movement on the 19th which gave the time to question old beliefs and philosophies, eliminating any dead wood that hinders growth. The forward motion supports a new optimism particularly in regards to family issues and personal life. You may start to feel more generous and open with your family as domestic issues are dealt with.

CAPRICORN
Mid month the supportive sextile between Saturn the planet of limits and restriction and Mars of how our energy is expressed allows for the setting of safe boundaries giving the confidence to work within our limits without the fear of failure or let downs. Self-assurance and self-belief is buoyant all month and you may find that being part of a team has its benefits.

AQUARIUS
Around the middle of the month the Moon conjuncts both Jupiter/Uranus in your solar second house of personal values and possessions. This can create a few days whereby self-control is shattered so you may do well to stay well away from situations that require a calm and steady approach. This aspect can destroy illusions and stun emotions with unconventional behaviour. Remember, what happens in an instant may linger for months.

PISCES
When Neptune casts a veil over the Sun there is a longing to escape the harsh realities of life and even the demands of your daily existence seem insurmountable. This is a passing phase and not to be taken seriously. Don’t be discouraged or defeated or be tempted to take a more devious course of action but rather gather your common sense and deal with what is, not what you would like it to be.

ARIES
Mars movement into Sagittarius at the end of last month and into your solar ninth house may ignite the urge to expand your horizons so the desire for travel may be strong. Teaming up with the mind planet Mercury though, you may like to expend your energy into expanding your intellect. This does not mean brow beating others with your thoughts and opinions but opening your mind to new dimensions of thinking.

TAURUS
Venus turns direct on the 19th but aspecting Uranus for most of the month ensures that relationships with co-workers can still be an issue of concern. The need to conform to the status quo may have you irritable and edgy. Know your worth and if that means rocking the boat and deviating from the norm then so be it. Tension creates health problems if left for too long.

GEMINI
When Mercury teams up with Mars there is a real danger of your mouth running away with you and a scattering of energies. This can make for situations where it is almost unavoidable that your feet will be in your mouth. Saturn adds a restraining influence around the 16th but you would do well not to over-estimate what can be done and to put some lead in your shoes to slow you down.

CANCER
Mid month has you on top, feeling like the world is your oyster. This confidence is not shattered but unexpected events may cause plans to change. The Full Moon spanning your solar 11th and 5th houses shines the light on your hopes and wishes and can put you in touch with that inner creativity. Friendships take on more importance - giving and receiving much support.

LEO
Your attention remains centred on home and family concerns till around the 22nd when the Sun enters fiery Sagittarius and the social animal in you reasserts himself. Confidence and stamina is high as Jupiter/Uranus add their creative and benevolent influence sending thoughts to the possibility of travel during the Christmas break. Also a good time to look into educational plans for the New Year.

VIRGO
Feeling like you can’t put a foot right and every time you open your mouth someone jumps down it, particularly on the home front? There is a lesser brake on your thoughts and actions and they are not being filtered in your usual thoughtful manner. Reserve has flown the coop and a newfound freedom is discovered in saying and doing exactly what how you see fit.

LIBRA
The brakes are off as Venus goes direct on the 19th but misunderstandings can still occur for a few more days till Venus picks up speed again. You may feel that you are going around in circles but try not to become agitated as a review process has just taken place. Circumstances may have enforced changes so perhaps a whole new make-over leaves you feeling good about yourself.

FULL MOON at  29 TAURUS 18  on  22 November  at 4:27am

This Full Moon highlights the signs of Taurus and Scorpio, the second and eighth signs of the zodiac and builds on the choices made at the last New Moon in Scorpio on 6 November. It was important to discover the needs and values of others for by attuning ourselves to what is significant in their lives we are better able to make healthier choices about our involvements.

Combining the elements of earth and water can produce very fertile ground in which most things can grow or a muddy swamp that lies stagnant and inert. By letting go of that that weighs us down (ideas, material possessions, habits and people from the past) we are able to open ourselves to new vitality. For those of us who tend towards hoarding this is a great time to tackle those wardrobes / cupboards and possessions which are no longer useful, with charities benefiting.

Venus forms a YOD formation, with the Moon and Jupiter/Uranus indicating a turning point has been reached where adjustments need to be made due to a lack of balance. Venus is the principal of relaxation and rules relationships, satisfaction and pleasure. What value do we place on others, our belongings and ourselves? Jupiter/Uranus give rise to new possibilities and perceptions but not without tradeoffs and a reconsideration of current lifestyle.

The continuing conjunction of Neptune/Chiron forming a fixed T Square aspect to the Full Moon suggests a certain rigidity and a resistance to altering established habits even when faced with the facts. To gain self-satisfaction perhaps we distort the truth as it threatens our valued misconceptions. This is how we may delude ourselves and by realising the possibility exists that our emotions may be giving false messages we are able to widen our hearts and minds.
