Weight loss … without will power

My Story - Part 1 of 3. How I lost 20kgs without dieting

“Yeah, sure, right!” I hear you say, but here is my weight-loss story and if this had not happened to me, I would not believe it, nor would I believe the above claim.

The story goes in a round-about fashion, but bear with me because it leads somewhere worthwhile - I promise.

I had been recovering from melanoma surgery (nasty cancer if not caught in time - more on this later). During my recovery, my mother-in-law had popped by on one of her regular visits.  We were sitting at the dining table when she noticed me rubbing my head.

"Do you have a headache?" she said. I admitted I did have a mild one. "Uncle Denis showed me this weird thing to do to get rid of them - would you like to try it?" she asked.

Now, Uncle Denis is considered a bit 'outside the square' (or 'unconventional' if you’re looking for a better term), so suggestions from Denis are usually taken with a large grain of salt.

Anyway, I'm sitting there, looking at my mother-in-Law, saying to myself, "I'll just humour the old bird ..."

"Now you have to do some weird things and tap on some acupuncture points, roll your eyes around and so on, but just bear with me, it only takes a minute or two," she continued.

So, we started. "Tap on your hand like this", she said, (tapping on the 'Karate Chop' point on her hand) ... so I did. Then she got me to repeat after her, "Even though I have this nasty headache, I deeply and completely accept myself".  I did, thinking, "Yep, she's right, this is weird", and trying to keep a straight face.

We then went through a series of tapping points around the body, repeating "this nasty headache" as we went and this was followed by some rolling of the eyes, humming happy tunes, and counting, all the while repeating "...this nasty headache, this nasty headache...".

After two minutes of this weird routine we stopped and she asked, "How’s your headache now?"

IT WAS GONE.  To give you some history, I had suffered from headaches for 10 years, between one and four per week, and every month or so I'd get a whopper of a migraine that would incapacitate me greatly.

For me, painkillers NEVER worked.  No matter if they were paracetamol, codeine, anything. The only way I could get rid of a headache was to fall asleep.  So, here was this two-minute 'tapping' process that had eliminated my headache!

Now, think about it, I was extremely sceptical about this 'Uncle Denis Process' - and it had worked despite my scepticism. I wanted to find out more!

Next week we will look at what happened next. This story does lead to weight-loss - I promise.  If you just can’t wait, please email me and I’ll be happy to send you the full article.
